Digital printing has revolutionised the branding industry. Allowing for highly custom finishes with superior and hard wearing quality.
Essentially a specialised printer lays ink directly onto the book covers, just like an ink-jet printer, removing the need for custom plates or dies. This removes a large cost compared to setting up a more traditional screen print method. You can now also exploit a creative advantage by having access to smooth gradients with the full colour spectrum.
Digital printing is offered on most of our hardcover notebooks. However we highly recommend the Castelli notebook range with this process, including the Tucson and Matra notebooks. We are able to acheive a higher definition finish on these particular books. With the flexibility of this process, designs can be run right up to the edge for a seamless bespoke finish for a truly special look.
We use a similar digital process for producing custom pencils.
More Info and Leadtimes
As the process is entirely digital, there are no one-off tooling charges such as casting dies. Typically lead times for digital printing on notebooks can be up to 3 weeks.
The leadtime is dependent mainly on the current capacity and scheduling, there may be quieter times during the year when we can offer a faster service.
As always, if you have an urgent deadline, please make sure to contact us so we can confirm leadtimes and stock.
